Blaine McGill has called Long Beach home for 36 years. As a husband, father and longtime local, he understands that protecting a property before a storm is about more than checking items off a list—it is about protecting the place a family depends on.
Having lived through Gulf Coast storms firsthand, Blaine knows the realities of preparing before severe weather arrives, assessing what remains afterward and helping a property move from damage to recovery. Magnolia Home Watch was built around that local experience: reliable property oversight, clear communication, detailed photo documentation, rental support and practical help before, during and after severe weather.

After the Storm
Know what happened. Plan what comes next.
We can check your property when it’s safe to return, photograph visible damage, and send you a clear report. Emergency roof tarping, fence repairs and debris cleanup are assessed and quoted separately, subject to safe conditions and the requirements explained below. We can also coordinate qualified contractors when needed.

Before the storm
We offer limb trimming, shutter installation, gutter installation and repairs, and help securing outdoor items to prepare your property for severe weather.
After the storm
We offer emergency roof tarping, fence repair and replacement, debris cleanup, and other property repairs assessed and quoted individually. We can also document visible damage and provide a visual property report.
Our team, with extra help when needed
Magnolia Home Watch performs work directly and can coordinate qualified contractors when a job requires specialized skills or additional resources.
What costs extra
These services are priced separately from home-watch memberships. Preparation work, storm activation, additional visits, materials and repairs are quoted based on the property and work requested. We confirm the scope and price with you before additional work begins.
How scheduling works
Scheduling depends on your service plan, availability, the work needed and changing weather conditions. Priority scheduling does not guarantee a visit before landfall or immediately afterward. Contact us early to arrange your checklist.
When it is safe to visit
We work only when access is lawful and conditions are reasonably safe. Evacuation orders, road closures and hazards may delay or prevent service. Post-storm checks begin once safe access is available.
Work requires a property assessment, your approval, safe conditions, and any applicable licensing or permits. Preparation can reduce avoidable exposure, but cannot guarantee protection from storm damage. Our reports document visible conditions; Magnolia Home Watch does not perform insurance adjusting or licensed home inspections.

FAQ
Questions property owners ask.
Do you guarantee a property will not be damaged during a storm?
No. No preparation service can prevent all storm damage. Magnolia Home Watch helps reduce avoidable exposure, follows the agreed property checklist and documents the property before and after the event.
Can you help with hurricane shutters or panels?
Owner-provided shutters or panels may be included only when the work is within the company’s approved service scope, the property has been assessed in advance and the work can be performed safely.
What happens if an evacuation order is issued?
Safety comes first. Services are performed only while access is lawful and conditions remain reasonably safe. Storm-preparation windows may close before landfall so personnel have time to leave hazardous areas.
Is Magnolia Home Watch an insurance adjuster or licensed home inspector?
No. Magnolia Home Watch provides visual property checks, documentation and owner-authorized preparation services. We do not perform insurance adjusting, engineering evaluations or licensed home inspections.
